Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 cup sour cream
3 whole egg yolks -- beaten
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup butter -- softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup pecans -- finely chopped
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 medium tart apple -- peeled, cored and finely chopped
2 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
1 cup powdered sugar
4 teaspoons milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup pecans -- finely chopped

In your bread machines pan place the yeast, flour, butter, egg yolks and
sourcream. Select the dough cycle and press start. Allow the dough to
knead for 15 minutes and then stop the machine and remove the dough to a
greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

The next day in a small bowl combine the sugar, pecans, and cinnamon. Set
aside. On a floured surface divide the dough in quarters and roll each
quarter in to a ball. Allow to rest 10 minutes covered with a damp towel.
Roll each dough ball in to a 9-inch circle. Sprinkle each circle with 1/4
of the sugar mixture and 1/4 of the chopped apple. Cut each circle in to
16 wedges; roll up from wide edge and pinch to seal. Place with point side
down on a greased baking sheet.

Cover with a damp towel and allow to rise for 20 minutes. Bake in a 350
degree oven for 16 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately
remove them to a wire rack to cool.

For the icing combine the sugar, milk and vanilla in a small bowl and mix
until smooth. Drizzle the icing over the twists. Sprinkle with the finely
chopped pecans.
